A Summer Wedding at the Butterfly Pavilion

Every photographer has their favorite venues - every photographer has venues they love to shoot at. So here are my thoughts on the Butterfly Pavilion wedding venue in Acworth, Ga.

The last time I was there to shoot a wedding, was August 20th, 2025. When I go again, I’ll update!

As usual - I started my day in the bridal suite. I love a good bridal suite. It was roomy, had multiple mirrors & seats, and was really well decorated! It was giving an elegant vibe. (bonus points for plenty of windows for natural light)

My bride & groom opted for a first look, and they took us to a field on a golf cart! We chose to do the first look under a tree with a swing for some sweet portraits before heading back to get ready for ceremony.

Speaking of ceremony, the space is so simple but gorgeous! My bride did her own florals and she absolutely killed it! I would love to see this space in the spring time!

We have to talk about the tunnel of lights at the Butterfly Pavilion. Its right near the entrance of the venue, and its perfect for portraits later in the day. I love some good string lights! Even better - the flowers on the property were all in bloom, which means they were butterflies around!

What about cocktail hour? The cocktail hour space is simple but so easy to photograph! There are of course string lights & a bar. Since my couple did a first look, they actually got to join their guests for cocktail hour, which is always so sweet.

What does the reception space look like at the Butterfly Pavilion? Well let me tell you, it’s gorgeous! It is right by all the beautiful flowers on the property, so we still got some butterfly friends flying around. Overall, I loved this venue. It was very well decorated, well managed, and very photographable! I would love to go back for more weddings!
